 Reflection Paper    3

Reflection Paper                                                            The author chose AngelFire at http://www.angelfire.lycos.com as the Web-hosting server for the Web site project. The largest challenge encountered was uploading a PowerPoint presentation from the CMP 555 class. The author finally concluded that although it was not pretty, the only way to get the PowerPoint through his company Firewall was by putting it in a ZipFile and then unzipping it in the Web-hosting server. A minimal amount of instruction was required within the site but in reality it would be better to find an alternate way to present the information. Smaller challenges included keeping the text uniform within the pages and staying within a reasonable color scheme throughout the Web site. There was only one modification made to the original flowchart, the E-assessment was added to the Home Page versus being added as a sub-page to Student Information.

The author was pleased with the final product but there is always room for improvement to any Web site. The major point learned from the experience was that if basic fundamentals are followed when building Web sites, they should generally appeal to viewers who drop by for a visit.
